As a senior, I find myself reflecting back to the things I knew, or didn't know, during my first year here. As the end of this year rolls in, and seniors begin packing up their dorm rooms for the very last time, a list of ten things comes to mind.

Beginning this Friday, the Toccoa Falls College Theatrical Society (TFCTS) will be performing William Shakespeare’s The Tempest. This performance will be filled with magical creatures, plots to murder, romance, and the all-powerful forces of nature.

18-year-old, Hudson Allen, began playing as a shooting guard for the men’s basketball team since he arrived at Toccoa Falls College in Fall of 2017. When asked what his favorite part of playing basketball at TFC is, he said “definitely the competition.”

For the past few semesters an extensive video project has been underway at Toccoa Falls College. Lead by the Black Spade Society, a club run by James Hutton, this collaborative project is an ambitious undertaking to create a television-worthy show about life at TFC.

Every year the TFC student body elects a new SGA president and vice president. For the upcoming 2018-2019 school year, Tristan Bowen and Jacqueline Bailey were elected.

Here at the Talon, we wanted to highlight a few of the students at TFC that help make the community what it is. For our second article in our series, we sat down with Andrew Cowart to get to know him and his take on the community here at TFC.

A campus full of unknown faces + multiple events in one night = campus preview! This Admission Office event gave prospective students a chance to see what their future might look like if they became screaming eagles.

Spring semester always seems to fly by, and after spring break, it seems to progress in fast forward. While this time is exciting, nerve-wracking, and looked forward to, it offers another symptom to seniors… Senioritis.

Coffee, soda, Ramen, and Pop Tarts. Sound familiar? While having something easy to grab can be nice on those day where you do not have time to run to the cafeteria, or late at night when you need a study break, eating junk food will wear down your body.

When is the last time you sent a postcard to your friend? When is the last time you received a postcard? In today's times, it is rare to receive a letter, unless it is a bill of course, but nobody wants those.

“Everybody give it up for Travis and his puke bucket…If you’re feeling spiritually attacked, feel free to use this exercise routine.” These are just a few remarks you would have heard had you attended Mr. TFC last Thursday night.

To test which types of music could be used for heartrate suppression or stimulation, three TFC students performed a test in which a select number of students at Toccoa Falls College were tested for heart rate in response to a certain genre of music.

Sometimes, one might question why the Friday before Easter is considered “Good Friday.” When you think about it, death is a tragic and horrible end to Jesus being ruthlessly tortured, when He did nothing wrong, then nailed to the cross for transgressions that were not His.

“The most wasted of all the days is one without laughter” (E. Cummings). As learners return to school after a much needed Spring break, we have asked students and faculty to share some of their most embarrassing moments.

As students of Toccoa Falls College, some of you may have noticed flyers posted around campus promoting the Eagle Radio. Yes, we do have a student radio here at TFC. In fact, the radio has actually been airing for almost two decades now, facing many changes, songs, and talk shows.

Toccoa Falls College Freshman Michaela Priatko has been playing center back for the women’s soccer team since the Fall of 2017. Michaela started playing soccer with Upwards at the age of four, and she has been playing for various teams and organizations ever since.

Midterms are this week. So, here are a couple of reminders and some advice on how to get through this time without completely losing your mind!

This Tuesday, March 13th Community Partnerships is hosting a Commuter Lot Party! This event will be held in the commuter parking lot from 3-5 PM on March 13th.
