Seniors Take 2023 Classapalooza Crown
On Thursday, May 4, SGA hosted their annual Classapalooza event, which is a field day-like tournament between the four cohorts of Toccoa Falls College. SGA President and Vice President Emily Johnson and Jacob Hunt served as referees and instructors. The tournament, hosted at the pond from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., consisted of four major events that the four cohorts competed in for the ultimate crown.

The Biology Department at Toccoa Falls College offers scientific instruction integrated with faith. In recent years, the department has increased their range of unique concentrations for students who hope to succeed post-graduation. Three specializations are available in TFC's biology department: Pre-Professional, Ecology and Environmental Science, and Public Health.
Students to Study Abroad this Summer
This summer, a group of TFC students and professors will travel to Europe for two weeks to complete a study abroad program. The trip will begin May 22 and conclude June 5. Students will visit landmark destinations in England, France, and Italy, including popular cities like London, Paris, Florence, Rome, and the Alps.
ResLife Welcomes Adoung, Kimsey, Wiggins
Awajok Adoung, Jayce Kimsey, and Tate Wiggins are among many of the young men who have been selected to serve Toccoa Falls College (TFC) as resident assistants (RAs) for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Adoung will be serving in Forrest 2B, Kimsey will be in the Terraces, and Wiggins will be in Forrest 3B.
Skeen Leads Women’s Volleyball as New Head Coach
In early April, Katie Skeen was announced as Toccoa Falls College’s new Head Coach for women’s volleyball. Skeen is the current Resident Director of Fant and LeTourneau halls, which house primarily freshman and sophomore women on lower campus.
ResLife Welcomes Martz, McLaughlin
Jasmine Martz and Hannah McLaughlin have been selected to serve Toccoa Falls College (TFC) as some of many resident assistants (RAs) for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Martz will be serving on Fant 2, while McLaughlin will be serving in Cora Houston Terrace.
B-Group Knits, Crochets for Community Needs
Professor Nancy Hyndman’s Knitting and Crocheting Barnabas Group is meeting needs in the city of Toccoa for yet another year. This year, the B-group is donating blankets to the Power House for Kids and hats to the Toccoa Cancer Center.
Meet Counseling Psychology Professor Nicole Brown
Professor Nicole Brown joined TFC’s Counseling Psychology department in the fall of 2022. Her husband, Jordan Brown, has been the Director of Spiritual Formation at TFC since 2020. Professor Brown teaches Counseling Skills, Introduction to Counseling, General Psychology, Christ-Centered Counseling, Psychology of Addictions, and Psychology of Motivation.
TFC Gaming Club Presents “Jacob Egg Hunt”
For the third year in a row, the TFC Gaming Club hosted an all-campus egg hunt to kick off Easter weekend, this time with a twist. The hunt took place across campus Tuesday, April 4, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. as students scurried to earn prizes for finding eggs and the Easter bunny.
“The Opportunity”: From Autism Stigma to Alternative Baseball
My path to Toccoa Falls College and Alternative Baseball began on November 27, 1995: the day in which I, Taylor Clark Duncan, was born to my parents at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga., at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon. It seemed I was born in normal shape at a healthy weight of 8 pounds and was brought home to Hiram, Georgia, despite doctors’ predictions of physical problems upon birth.

The ballots were cast, and the new SGA President and Vice President are upcoming seniors Natalie Johnson and Lauryn Juarez! The new President is Natalie Johnson, a 20-year-old Interpersonal Communications major with a minor in Cross-Cultural Studies. Lauryn Juarez is working alongside Johnson as her Vice President. Juarez is a 19-year-old Ministry Leadership major with a minor in Bible and Theology.

Toccoa Falls College’s (TFC) Student Wellness Center is a safe space on campus for students to seek support, help and guidance as they navigate the stressors and obstacles of school and life. The Wellness Center offers Student Counseling Services that aim to support the emotional needs of students in a secure and confidential environment. The counselors are capable of handling various forms of psychological distress, grief and trauma, and adjustment to college life. TFC and the Student Wellness Center are dedicated to providing students with the means to effectively manage and process mental health struggles.
Davis Resigns as VP for Student Affairs, Thorne to be Acting VP
After nearly six years, Dr. Abigail Davis will resign as the Vice President for Student Affairs at Toccoa Falls College, effective Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023. Current Director of Housing and Residence Life Katie Thorne will begin new duties as Acting VP for Student Affairs Thursday, Feb, 23, 2022.

No One Left Alive (NOLA) has become a staple event at Toccoa Falls College over the past four years. Created by Residence Director Michael Kowalski, the campus-wide event is filled with screams of terror, puzzling riddles, and bloodthirsty zombies.
Homecoming 2022: A Recap
Toccoa Falls College’s 2022 Homecoming celebration kicked off Friday afternoon when the TFC men’s and women’s soccer teams faced off against Regent University. The crowd was filled with current TFC students and alumni, who packed the bleachers to cheer on our beloved Screaming Eagles.
Get to Know TFC’s New History Professor
With the retirement of the History Department’s former head, Dr. Jalovick, the title has been passed to a new member of the TFC community, Dr. John-Paul Hill. Dr. Hill currently teaches Historiography, Western Civilizations I and United States History I. Next semester, he plans to teach Western Civilizations II, United States History II and American Church History.
Maintenance Plants New Trees Near Campus Creek
Toccoa Falls College’s grounds maintenance crew has planted fresh saplings near the main creek on campus after students objected to the removal and trimming of trees outside their dorms. According to Associate Vice President of Operations Merlin Schenck, approximately 250 to 300 trees were planted in early March.

Sophomores Cyrus Harrison and Gavin Maxwell have been selected to serve Forrest Hall as Resident Assistants for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. Harrison and Maxwell will be serving the guys of 2A and 2B, respectively.
TFC Study Abroad Program Seeks Future Trips
If you have been a student at Toccoa Falls College in the last two years, you are probably aware of the study abroad program. Typically, students are offered the opportunity to participate in a study abroad trip to gain both college credit and an experience you can only get as a student while traveling to a different country.
