Students to Study Abroad this Summer
This summer, a group of TFC students and professors will travel to Europe for two weeks to complete a study abroad program. The trip will begin May 22 and conclude June 5. Students will visit landmark destinations in England, France, and Italy, including popular cities like London, Paris, Florence, Rome, and the Alps.
Activities will include river tours to various destinations and visiting many tourist attractions, including the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, the Louvre, and the Colosseum. The group will also have opportunities to eat at local restaurants, view live theater, and have free time to take in all of the scenery.
“I am most excited about getting to go out with my friends!” said Jayce Kimsey, a junior pursuing a degree in Interpersonal Communications. “I love traveling but I’ve never gone with my friends before, and I am really excited to experience something as awesome as Europe with awesome people too!”
Because the trip is a study abroad opportunity, students will have to complete assignments before and after they visit Europe. During the trip, they will take journals to write in each day to record their experiences and observations. Overall, the students and faculty look forward to having a fun and educational experience overseas.
