Campus Preview 2018

A campus full of unknown faces + multiple events in one night = campus preview! Unless you live under a rock, you know that this past weekend was campus preview. This Admission Office event gave prospective students a chance to see what their future might look like if they became screaming eagles. The Talon talked to several campus previewers and each one said something along the lines of, “After this weekend, TFC is at the top of my list,” or “I’ve already been accepted, and now I’m so excited to come here next semester!”

One event, Living Room on the Lawn, gave clubs and departments a chance to show potential incoming students what TFC offers. The Sustainable Development Department brought baby goats, and baby chicks to provide a small taste of what Valley Farm contains. A few Theatrical Society members lip sang to “The Schylur Sisters” from Hamilton, to show how fun the club can be. The Communication Department gave out Lego candy and had Legos for people to play with while discussing that we are all culture builders. Residence Life had a cereal and juice bar where both cereals and juices could be mixed together to make the perfect combination. Many departments and various campus organizations came together to give a warm welcome to our visitors in a beautiful, collaborative way.

After this event, students moved to Gate Cottage for Open Mic Night. Inside Gate, Italian sodas, pies, pretzels, cookies, and more were enjoyed. Students who signed up sang, read spoken word, or told jokes. It was an event full of laughter and meeting new people.

Aside from these events, prospective students had the opportunity to meet with professors, eat in the dinning hall, stay the night in a residence hall, talk with financial aid, experience community worship, take a campus tour, go to a baseball game, and truly experience what it's like to be a Toccoa Falls College student.

A huge thank you to TFC Admission Office and all those who work to keep our campus filled with amazing people. This years, twenty-eighteen Campus Preview was an event to remember!
