Practicing Patience and Kindness
The simple act of being kind in your patience is an encouragement to everyone you come across; it brings people peace.
People of TFC: Brett Warner
As a whole, Brett shared that his expectations for TFC have been "blown away," especially in terms of the people. Brett feels as though he has grown a lot since coming to TFC, and that his extra curriculars have helped with that.
Easy DIY Halloween Costumes
Halloween is the one time a year when people can pretend to be whatever or whomever they want to be. However, this often requires shelling out some serious cash to accomplish the new look. The best way to save money is to take on the project yourself. Far from the days of bedsheet ghosts, there are many easy, inexpensive, and fun costume ideas to help you stand out in a crowd.
Prayer and Worship Night
I have struggled with seeing the kindness of God before. In so many situations, I have found myself asking God to show me his kindness and coming up empty. I have found myself wondering how certain situations were anything other than cruel. But this past weekend, I had an encounter with God that wrecked these doubts and questions of mine.
Laps for Larson - A Testament to God’s Faithfulness
The idea for the Laps for Amy Larson 5K started with prayer. As a few students circled around after class at the start of the semester, they felt God leading them to do more. Minutes later, they were knocking on Saylo Lor’s door to ask about potentially starting a fundraiser. Within the weeks that followed, word of supporting Amy spread like wildfire across campus.
Interesting Hiking Points Near TFC
Toccoa, GA is at an interesting intersection between many well-known rivers and the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Some of my personal favorite waterfalls are within a two-hour drive from Toccoa Falls College and are completely worth the trip.
Fall Activities Around TFC
Fall officially began on September 22 this year, and there are many ways to celebrate the season. If you live on campus or near Toccoa Falls College, there is no shortage of activities available. Apple picking, pumpkin patches, hayrides, and a local Harvest Festival can be enjoyed during the month of October.
People of TFC: Kat Terrell
Kat believes she has experienced a large amount of self-development while at TFC, explaining that she has grown in “maturity, understanding, and empathy. My ability to feel compassion for other people has developed significantly. My ability to listen well and be present with those who are hurting without inserting my advice has also grown. I am able to better get along with people who are a lot different from me.”
How to Put on a Play: COVID-19 Style!
I don’t think I need to tell anyone that this semester is far from normal. No one really planned the effect that COVID-19 would have on not just the TFC community, but the entire country and world. Social distancing, while necessary for the safety of the TFC community, is making things a little difficult for the clubs that thrive off of close contact with others. The Theatrical Society at TFC is particularly impacted due to this.
Amy Larson - An Inspiration to Many at TFC
Although Amy was not able to make it back to campus this semester, she remains as much an inspiration as ever before. When she was diagnosed with Lymphoma this past June, I remember her humble and trusting response. Out of all the worry and anger that could have consumed her, she chose to be more concerned for others than herself.
Becoming Uncomfortable
I want to challenge you to be uncomfortable in your faith. I heard the saying once that “if you’re not uncomfortable in your faith, you’re not growing.” My friends, we should never stop growing in our love and relationship with God.
Final Bow for TFC’s Theatrical Adviser
As part of his retirement, Dr. Donald T. Williams will be stepping down from his position as the faculty adviser of TFC’s Theatrical Society after this semester.
Hearing the Voice of God
When I opened my eyes and looked to my right, I saw Jesus. He sat beside me on that swing and had his arm over my shoulders, pulling me into a comforting embrace. I sat there beside him for a long time. His presence there told me a number of things, but the most obvious was this: “I am always here. I never leave you.”
Behind the Scenes (vol. 1)
"The TFC Theatrical Society has been a major contributor in my formation as a person and also as a leader. This group of people have been a special kind of community that is hard to find anywhere else. God has used this role as Senior Manager to encourage me in my strengths and grow me in my weaknesses." -Alison Lamb (Senior Manager)
SGA Presidential Candidates Seek to Impact TFC
The candidates have summarized their campaign platform in three simple words: communicate, advocate and include. However, the scope of the vision that lies behind these words is far more complex.

To the girl with a hurting heart, to the boy with disappointment resurfacing, to the ones who hold on to that pain, comparing themselves to others, asking God “why not” and letting fear of rejection take root, this is for you.
