Kat believes she has experienced a large amount of self-development while at TFC, explaining that she has grown in “maturity, understanding, and empathy. My ability to feel compassion for other people has developed significantly. My ability to listen well and be present with those who are hurting without inserting my advice has also grown. I am able to better get along with people who are a lot different from me.”

Deciding on your schedule for next semester can feel like a daunting task, a maze, a thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle where all the pieces are a shade of the same color. If you are having trouble deciding what classes to take, look no further!

Communication is an amazing major; a lot of things can be done to glorify God and expand his kingdom through it, but because I’m not an expert, I decided to speak with one of our seniors in the Communication program, Branton McMahan.

As senior Biology majors, we know it can be stressful. That's why we want to give you some advice and tools that can help you along your journey. I spoke with another of our Biology seniors, Andrew Snow, and asked him to share some advice for other students.

Mr. TFC is a renowned event that has been happening time out of mind. This year, the golden tradition took place on April 16th in the Woerner Missions Building and was put on by the SGA Campus Life committee.

If you have been at TFC for very long, Katie Hall is probably a name that you are familiar with. Katie grew up about an hour and a half away in Flowery Branch, Georgia with her older brother. Katie is currently a senior, and is majoring in Counseling Psychology.

Future Scholar's has already come and passed this year! It was a blast getting to meet so many new people, and see how excited many of them were to call TFC home in the near future! This year’s Future Scholars winner is Emily Johnson!

This month, we sat down with Talia Hatch to get to know her, and talk about her part in building the community here at TFC. Talia Hatch is a Junior this year, and is majoring in Cross Cultural Studies.

When asked what her favorite thing about TFC is, Skye Monroe did not hesitate to give her answer as: “The people.”

“I came in without the intent of winning the scholarship. I just wanted to explore the school and explore myself in the context of the school.” It was with this attitude that Dante Edwards discovered TFC for the first time through the Future Scholars Weekend event.

As a senior, I find myself reflecting back to the things I knew, or didn't know, during my first year here. As the end of this year rolls in, and seniors begin packing up their dorm rooms for the very last time, a list of ten things comes to mind.

Here at the Talon, we wanted to highlight a few of the students at TFC that help make the community what it is. For our second article in our series, we sat down with Andrew Cowart to get to know him and his take on the community here at TFC.

“The most wasted of all the days is one without laughter” (E. Cummings). As learners return to school after a much needed Spring break, we have asked students and faculty to share some of their most embarrassing moments.

Katherine Clair is a sophomore in counseling and psychology at TFC. She is from Augusta, Georgia and is the youngest of five sisters. She loves people and showing love to those around her in service.

Winning Future Scholars is an exciting thing. It is not an easy task to compete against fifty students for this honor. Dante Edwards became the latest future scholar when he won the competition this past November.
