SGA Executive Council Welcomes Nick Briscoe, Campus Life
Toccoa Falls College’s Student Government Association has selected rising junior Nick Briscoe as Campus Life Chair for the 2023-2024 Executive Council.
Briscoe is passionate about leadership, community building, and event planning. He is interested in building a strong, vibrant campus community.
“As a student, I have seen how important it is for students to feel connected and supported in their college experience,” Briscoe said. “I believe that the role of Campus Life Chair offers a unique opportunity to help shape that experience and make a positive impact on the lives of my fellow students.”
Campus Life plans the primary events that occur each semester. These events include banquets, dances, and student activities. They also partner with student organizations to support their events.
Briscoe currently serves on the committee under Maisen Sturt, who will be graduating in May. He was excited to learn he will be filling Sturt’s position.
“The weeks leading up were very stressful. I was finding out through a letter in the mail and had to keep checking my mailbox,” Briscoe said. “But finally, I opened my box and there was a letter, and I was hired! I ran to my best friend Kyle Duren to tell him. It was a really great day.”.
Briscoe plans to keep many of the events Sturt created, while also bringing some of his own ideas to life. He will be partnering with certain clubs to host events that will bring the student body together. Briscoe also hopes to alter a few existing events, such as “Spy Games,” to make them more memorable and immersive.
