This fall, The Talon is highlighting 2023 graduating seniors. Caris Ruth Schoolcraft, the former president of the Theatrical Society, and a General Studies major (with a teaching minor), met with The Talon to reminisce about her experience at Toccoa Falls College. Schoolcraft described her experiences as a student and shared advice to underclassmen. 

Awajok Adoung, Jayce Kimsey, and Tate Wiggins are among many of the young men who have been selected to serve Toccoa Falls College (TFC) as resident assistants (RAs) for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Adoung will be serving in Forrest 2B, Kimsey will be in the Terraces, and Wiggins will be in Forrest 3B.

Jasmine Martz and Hannah McLaughlin have been selected to serve Toccoa Falls College (TFC) as some of many resident assistants (RAs) for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Martz will be serving on Fant 2, while McLaughlin will be serving in Cora Houston Terrace.

The ballots were cast, and the new SGA President and Vice President are upcoming seniors Natalie Johnson and Lauryn Juarez! The new President is Natalie Johnson, a 20-year-old Interpersonal Communications major with a minor in Cross-Cultural Studies. Lauryn Juarez is working alongside Johnson as her Vice President. Juarez is a 19-year-old Ministry Leadership major with a minor in Bible and Theology.

Epilepsy is “a neurological disorder that causes seizures or unusual sensations and behaviors.” It involves misfiring signals in your brain that can cause your lip to twitch or you to fall out of your seat. When I was three-and-a-half years old, I was diagnosed with Continuous Spike-wave Discharge During Sleep (CSWDDS), which is a unique form of epilepsy.

With the retirement of the History Department’s former head, Dr. Jalovick, the title has been passed to a new member of the TFC community, Dr. John-Paul Hill. Dr. Hill currently teaches Historiography, Western Civilizations I and United States History I. Next semester, he plans to teach Western Civilizations II, United States History II and American Church History.

We’re nearly halfway into the Fall 2022 semester, and there is a new leader of the Gaming Club! President Tiffany Franklin is a freshman majoring in Business Administration, and is excited to be hosting some interesting events this year! She took the time to sit down with The Talon to discuss her presidency and upcoming event for the Gaming Club.
