Love that Surpasses All Knowledge
At some time in their life, everyone has felt that nobody wants them. Everyone knows rejection, loneliness, abandonment, abuse, shame, low self-esteem, pain and sadness. Everyone experiences at least one of these things at some time in their lives. Sometimes they do not know how to deal with these feelings, and seek refuge in the world. Their minds are bombarded day and night with bad thoughts, and they do not know how to fight against them. They try to find a solution, an exit, but they do not find it.
History repeats itself over and over again, and it seems that it will never have a happy ending. That is the lie that the enemy wants this world to believe. That is one of the lies that has imprisoned the youth of this time. The only way to break these bonds of death is by proclaiming the truth that is embodied in the Scripture: God loves humanity.
Throughout the Scriptures, God's love for man is evident in all ages and generations. His love over humanity is as a fervent as the river that flows freely to its destination. His love is constant, never surrenders or retreats, never doubts or fears, but only believes and waits. His love is so great and deep that it breaks the patterns of this world. When the world says you deserve to die, He says: “where are your accusers? Has no one condemned you?... Then neither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin.” When the world says you're worthless, He says we are worthy because of His love. He even went so far to prove His love for us in His death on the cross. So immense is His love that He forgets all our rebellions and throws them into the depths of the sea, because His love covers a multitude of sins.
God never abandons you, even if others do. When the absence of loved ones overwhelms you, and you feel that you cannot continue, remember that God said: “never will I leave you; never will I forsake you," even if your father and mother forsake you, “do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” When you feel you have no strength, remember that God tells you “do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
The Lord is your best friend and almighty protector. When you feel upset, remember that He said: “I, even I, am he who comforts you.” If you feel lonely, remember that God said that He would be with you all the days of your life. If you feel that no one loves you, remember that He gave His life for you. He calls you friend, so go to Him and place all your burdens on Him. He is Truth, so you can trust Him. He is Light, so darkness cannot hurt you, because He is your shield and refuge. His love surpasses all knowledge and understanding.
In this week, in which society celebrates love and friendship, remember that God is all you need to be satisfied. It is not necessary to have a date on February 14 to feel loved. You do not need to receive many gifts to know that you are appreciated. You just must rest and find joy in the promises that your Lord has given you in His Scripture. Enjoy the immense love of your God, a greater love than you can imagine. Decide to believe and in Him, and be patient for His timing. Search for His kingdom first and you will see how everything else will be added to you. Finally, trust that no matter what happens, your God will always love you, because to Him, you are more valuable than gold and silver.
