Homecoming 2018 Preview

Homecoming at Toccoa Falls College is a wonderful opportunity to reunite past students with the current community here at TFC. Homecoming celebrates generations that have come through the school, and those that will soon be alumni. Homecoming is a busy weekend full of lots of different events that all kinds of people will enjoy.

This Friday evening, October 12, students have the opportunity to join Alumni and their families at the Women’s Soccer Game at 5PM, followed by the Men’s Soccer Game at 7PM.

After the Men’s Soccer Game kicks off, the Hymn Sing and Bonfire begins at 7:30PM, located on the Flood Plains at the fire pit. This will be a time in which current students and past students alike can come together and worship our Savior.

Then, from 8:30PM-10:00PM, on the Intramural field, the longstanding tradition of Sweets and Treats is being held. Many students enjoy this event and come to get their sweet fix. Come enjoy candies of all kinds, and various other sweets, such as deep-fried Oreos, while fellow-shipping with your classmates and alumni members.

After resting from the sugar coma you have from Friday evening, come Saturday morning to the Alumni Soccer Game at 11AM. This is when our current soccer teams face off against alumni soccer players in a game that is all in good fun.

Following that, the beloved Duck Race will take place at the creek bridge down by Gate Cottage. The Duck Race begins at 1:00PM. After the Duck Race, the Women’s Volleyball team will be facing off against Hiawasee College at 2:00PM in the Gym.

At 2:30PM, there will be a hike being led to Little Falls. If you have never had the chance before to hike to Little Falls, you should take it on Saturday. It is a beautiful spot of serenity here on our campus. Following the hike to Little Falls, there will be Alumni versus Faculty and Staff softball game at 4:00PM.

The Men’s Alumni Basketball Game will then begin at 6:30PM in the Gym. During that game at 7:00PM, come out and see Toccoa Falls College’s 2018 Homecoming Queen be crowned and cheer on the other class representatives. Following the crowning, there will be a time of coffee and fellowship down at Gate Cottage beginning at 8:30PM, with a time of community worship starting at 9:15PM.
