Finals Week Devotional

Almost any college student will admit that the most stressful week of the semester is finals week. All the cramming and studying brings unwanted emotions and makes for a stressful end to the semester. But once it’s over, a wave of relief washes over us and we can feel free again. Often, it is easy to feel alone during these situations, but it is important to remember that God is with us and that he is always by our side to love and support us through both good and bad times. Here is a verse to think about this upcoming week:

“Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NIV)

This verse is short but meaningful and displays so much power. Even during times of doubt and anxiety, He calls on us to be strong and courageous. Fear is something that we can overcome through Him. He has given us the power to succeed and overcome even the toughest challenges. He is always with us, no matter where we go or what we may feel. Rely and put your faith in Him and trust Him always.

Prayer: Lord, please guide us and be with us during this stressful time in our lives. Give us the strength and motivation to continue to study hard and excel in our finals. For those of us who are graduating, please continue to be with us on our future journeys. Allow us to finish strong and to give all glory to you. Amen.
