Thomas F. Todd grew up in southwest Atlanta and attended Toccoa Falls Institute for one year in 1948. In his book, “The Adventures of Tom and Jim,” he highlights his time at TFC, long before it was a college. Check out this short story from the book mentioned above.

Recently The Talon requested that I reflect on the past 22 years teaching at TFC. I never cease to be amazed at how quickly the time has passed (you will notice this in your own life as you grow older). I can replay memories in my mind of distant notable occasions as if the events happened very recently.

The wind blew through the trees, rustling the burnt orange autumn leaves ever so slightly, as Eve walked through her quiet neighborhood. Her long, blonde curls sprung up and down, moving along with her feet as they touched the cement.

Sep. 11, 2001 is a day that will forever live in the hearts of the American people. For Communication professor Dr. Randy Hollingsworth, the events of that day are still a vivid memory.
