Volleyball Regionals Recap

The Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles women’s volleyball team finished 2019 regionals with a 2-3 loss to Pensacola Christian College in the second round of the NCCAA Division II Tournament. After trailing 2-0, the women came back and tied it up but lost the fifth set 15-6. Halle Rainwater led the team with kills (14) and aces (2) while Theresa Sullivan led in digs (25) and Abigail Smith in assists (4). Smith and Natalie Thompson both recorded one block. The match took place after the women were awarded a bye week for their impressive regular season effort. The team was undefeated and ranked No. 3 seven games into the season but had some tough losses in the home stretch, finishing the regular season 17-10 with a home record of 7-2.
